The painting represents the Artist’s Grandmother’s Songline (from Borroloola) the Nygabaya or Spirit People Dreaming. This painting shows four Spirits. Two from one direction and the other two from another meeting up to travelling along the coastline singing stories and healing the people and lands. The Nygabaya or Spirit People are storytellers, educators and creating beings. These Spirits are known to bring strength, spirituality and resilience to people and lands.
