“

“We Care” is a visual image of First Nations People’s health and wellbeing and getting care. This painting will convey how we care and the connectedness of care for people.

 The painting’s theme is based around my Ancestor’s Songline of the “Nygabaya or Spirit People Dreaming” and “Stone Dreaming” that both represent our strength, spirituality and resilience.  The painting shows a large orange circle of the Stone Dreaming that represents the providing of care. From this circle there are many waves of colour weaving across the painting. Purple represents the healing and care; the green colour represents the growth and development and the cream represent one line of Stones. These pathways connect to the “Spirit People” the image in the bottom right corner representing the people that connect for care. Sprinkled across these paths are eight circles representing each state and territory of Australia.
