Story:

The painting represents the Artist’s Grandmother’s Songline (from Borroloola) the Nygabaya or Spirit People Dreaming. This painting shows the Spirits represented by the 2 figures that can be seen in the curve of the piece. These Spirits tell the story of my Ancestors travelling across country singing stories and healing the people and lands. The Nygabaya or Spirit People are storytellers, educators and creating beings. These Nygabaya represent strength, spirituality and resilience.
